My doctor gave me a few tips to try to help me keep myself from fainting IF I had the time to do so. As we all know, sometimes you have no time to think...it just happens. But if you have that *feeling* come on and you have time a few things you can try:

Pinch yourself *or have someone else pinch you* on tender spots of your body. For example: under your arm, on your thigh,  anywhere sensitive. It is supposed to stimulate you *obviously* and your brain and boost your adrenaline and bp a little so you won't pass out.

As well as if you have time to sniff pepper and make yourself sneeze. It may *should* stimulate your brain and prevent you from passing out.

Another thing that he told me that I do all of the time is lay down and elevate my legs/feet so that the blood flow goes back up to your brain. It's very helpful. He told me even if I have to do this in a restaurant, in the parking lot, or wherever, even though it's not cute and you may be on a date it's something that is extremely helpful.  Very Happy

But sometimes you don't have time to do any of these things which stinks but sometimes these things definitely come in handy! I'm sure there are other things but I can't think of any right off hand. *brain fog Razz* Feel free to suggest more tips if you want! Smile There can never be too many suggestions!

That's interesting.  Thanks for sharing.  I usually have enough warning time before I faint, but I will make sure to remember the pinching thing should I need to try it sometime in the future.
