What are some things that you know will make you feel more symptoms?
For me-
- Climbing stairs
- Riding in an elevator
- Running
- Taking a shower
- Taking a warm bath
- Standing up for too long (time varies depending on the day)
- Eating too much in one sitting or eating certain foods such as chocolate
- Turning around too quickly
- Being in crowds
- Talking too much
- Singing (though I never could carry a tune in a 5 gallon bucket )
- Being around certain people (like the former Commandant of the Marine Corps or other VIPs)
- Hearing really horrible news
- Not sleeping enough
- Standing up too quickly
- Stooping down or bending over
- Lifting my hands over my head
- Loud noises
- Bright lights
- Flashing or flickering lights
- Being in the heat
- Being starteled
- Raising my voice
- Lifting anything over 10 lbs and some times even less weight depending on the day
- Any type of excercising
and some other things but those are guarantees that I will feel worse so I try to avoid them... _________________ POTS, NCS, IBS, GERD, hiatal hernia, erosion of esophagus, inflammation of the intestines, possible GP, anemia, hypovolemia, refractive error hypermetropia, multiple sleep disorders, bladder dysfunction, and others...
All of those things make me feel horrible as well! I'm really glad you posted this. I'm sure this advice will help others and they will learn what they shouldn't do as much, if at all! Love ya hun! _________________ Whitney Paige

I agree with Sleeping Beauty, breathing usually makes some kind of symptom appear. _________________ *Nicole*

Have a blessed and wonderful day!!!! HUGS and LOVE
here's some additions for me:
getting in and out of cars.
temperature changes.
seasonal changes.
chocolate and caffiene. (blood pooling)
baths. (having to get up out of the bathtub, and being in a certain temperature of water and not being able to move much... i love my showerchair, because i'm seated, can move my legs - good for the blood pooling, less change in difference from sitting in that position to standing than down IN the bathtub- i know LOTS of days there is no way i could pull myself up out of the bathtub,
not exercising. (i know that it's hard, TRUST ME, i went through MONTHS of cardiac rehab at the lowest you could possibly start out at, but now that my insurance has denied paying for it, seeing what NOT being able to do has done to my body, it's not good. my blood pooling is much worse. and as a whole it helps me to feel better. i tell you, i never in a million years thought i'd be someone saying this, but i believe in exercise!)
sunlight. (not only because of the heat, but because of the brightness. i get instant migraines from it. wearing sunglasses when you go outside is a very good idea!)
being awake for a certain amount of time.
STRESS!
standing in line at the grocery store.
LOL glad ya all like my quote!..and its not the some waht sweet lemonade either..its the bitter stuff that makes ur tummy hurt! or mine anyways...
Karli you have alot of good ones on there!
Uhm stairs even only 1 or 2....
having to walk any distance in the snow.. it really sets off my tachycardia
waiting at the bus stop if im not able to use my powerchair (its acting up lately)
riding the bus.. or in a car
long car ride..(more then 10-15 minutes)
sitting in the back seat..w/o much leg room...
*smells* of nay kind really
laughing crying..
ppl talking loud of quite
floresent (sp???????? ) lighting
sunlight here to karli.. i own TONS of sunglasses!
waiting in line is a big one.. i one time was waiting inline at walmart.. and i got realy potsy and fell in the display or light bulbs.. that was embarassing!
hmmm if i think of more i will sure add em'! _________________ Sleeping Beauty 25
