I want to know what kinds of pain some of you are having?  Can you go into detail about your pain?  Do you think it's fibromyagia, or just symptoms of dysautonomia?  I had been diagnosed with f.m. years ago, but I never truly thought that was the problem.  My pains went away as fast as they came.  I guess at that time my pain was severe for about 3 months total. mainly in my hips and shoulders.  To me it felt more like joint pain than it did muscle pain. I think f.m. is more of a muscle pain thing.
My pain is back now,  in my hips this time.  Again, it feels more like it's in the joints.  Don't know if I should go back to my rheumy or just deal with it and hope it'll go away again!
This may sound bad, but I think I hurt from laying around too much!! Do any of you think that?  Has anyone figured it out?  I'm trying not to lay around so much but it's hard since that's my fav. position!!

Thanks for any advice.

I wish I had some answers.  I'm in pain too, but don't know why.  I've been to a rheumy and he said that I don't have fibromyalgia or rheumatiod arthritis.  My joints hurt, but not necessarily when you touch them.  They ache to use.  It hurts to wash my hands sometimes.  Some mornings my feet ache and it hurts to walk on them.  My hips have especially been hurting lately, making it very hard to sleep.  I sleep on my side, and that hurts now.  I, too, have wondered if laying around too much has contributed to the pain.  The problem is, I'm too tired, weak, faint, etc. to be up more.  I do all the exercise and activity I can every day.  Unfortunately I'm at a level of dysfunction where I must have a lot of rest.

I do have EDS type III, which probably contributes to some of the joint pain.  Would that make my whole hands ache to wash them, though?  And could that make my hips (joints and bones) ache all night long?  I don't know.  I wish I had answers.

Maybe others can shed some light on this for us.

Hi,  Thanks for the reply.  I'm still baffled by this too and still have hurting hips.  All I can figure is that it is from lying around a lot.  Nothing really I can do about that.  I too sleep on my side, and watch t.v. on my side.  Along with the joint pain there is also like a burning feeling that goes along with it when I'm laying on my side.  I definitely have to move then!
Hope you feel better.  I think I'm going to try aleve or something and see if that helps!

I took aleve last night to try to dull the pain enough to sleep.  It didn't completely take the pain away, but it did help.  I think you are right about the pain being caused by lying on our sides.  I have been extra tired this week and have had to spend much more time in bed and on the sofa.  Our bodies are not meant to be on their sides all the time.  But when our bodies don't want to be upright either, what other choice is there?!  Rolling Eyes
